I'm a former Amazon marketplace leader and current 8-figure seller. I write about advanced strategies and tactics for Amazon brands, that you won't read about anywhere else. Not for beginners.
Amazon is back on their bullsh*t.
This time, it's the FBA Multiple Destinations program.
Never heard of it?
Well, going back as far as 2021, they've been quietly opting sellers in to the program, sending easily overlooked emails like the one below to only the Primary User of an account.
What exactly *is* the FBA Multiple Destinations program?
In short, it's a program whereby, in exchange for a small break on fulfillment fees, Amazon is going to have you split your inbound FBA shipments into 3 smaller shipments.
Great! Right?
Well, I've done the math for every one of my businesses, and about a half dozen brand clients, and I just can't get the math to pencil.
The incremental cost of adding two more inbound FBA shipments to what would otherwise be a single inbound FBA shipments is NOT offset by the small fee discount.
Back in January, Amazon opted me in to the FBA Multiple Destinations program.
I didn't see the email, but I did notice something was amiss when my normal FTL got split into 3 LTLs.
I did some digging and, sure enough, I had been enrolled.
And, truthfully, I had to dig to find this out.
Oddly, FBA Multiple Destinations does not show up in your Fulfillment By Amazon settings. (Convenient oversight by Amazon)
It took multiple Seller Support cases to get some ground truth, and then multiple emails to get un-enrolled.
Fortunately, I was able to do so. And, because of that, on a year-to-date basis, I've avoided $14,401 in inbound freight transportation charges that I would have otherwise had to incur, if enrolled in FBA Multiple Destinations.
First step is to figure out if you've been enrolled.
In fact, what prompted this newsletter is that one of my brands that had previously opted out got re-enrolled two weeks ago. And, I've been seeing the same thing with client brands, and hearing the same thing from smart people in the Amazon logistics space (like, e.g., James McConnell, Jr) that touch multiple accounts.
To determine if you've been enrolled, it's unfortunately not as easy as checking your FBA settings. Like I said above, this program isn't displayed there.
You literally have to open a Seller Support case and ask.
(Oh, and don't use SeSu chat or phone. The case will need to be transferred, so best stick to email.)
So:
Hope this helps you all avoid excessive inbound fees!
Lest you doubt Ben Leonard's street cred, here's a tip that he dropped in one of the high level (min $1m+ revenue) seller chats that I'm in:
Hey gang - I have a useful tip.
Your brand should have a YouTube channel where you share helpful, compelling, engaging, useful free information to position your rband as an authority in your niche
Take your brands YT channel link (https://www.youtube.com/channel/YOURCHANNELIDHERE) and add "?reload=9&sub_confirmation=1"
so it will look like this - https://www.youtube.com/channel/YOURCHANNELIDHERE?reload=9&sub_confirmation=1
This URL opens a pop-up to ask people to subscribe. 90% of people will subscrbe
THEN create a pretty link to redirect to it. Like this - www.yourbrand.com/yt and/or a QR code.
Put the link/code/both on your packaging, inserts, email footers, social bios, chatbots, sms messages etc etc etc.
watch your subs grow.
THIS will make YT start serving your videos to people who are NOT yet your customers. Put your amazon links in product descriptions - boom external traffic.
You are spiking two algos in one - YT and amz.
enjoy.
Adam Weiler is the CEO of Emplicit, an Amazon management agency that is quietly one of the best around.
Anyway, Adam and team recently launched an AI tool called Reviewpulse.ai which will analyze 500+ product reviews in seconds and write new titles, bullets, descriptions, product FAQs, social media copy, and more.
Really cool stuff.
Maybe you're tired of the written word, and want to hear my melodious voice?
Good news! I was Kevin King's guest on the most recent episode of his AM/PM Podcast.
Among other things, we cover changes coming to Amazon search with AI and how you'll need strong brands and products, not just keywords.
Give it a listen.
I've got good news and bad news.
Bad News: The price of the Amazon Private Label Pathway is going up from $0 to $5.
Good News #1: It will always be free to my Best@Amazon newsletter subscribers by way of a promo code, which I'll include in this section of every newsletter.
Good News #2: I'm going to be adding 10x more valuable content to it over the coming months. We're talking: SOPs, my Amazon resource rolodex, private training videos, and more.

Back Story on the Amazon Private Label Pathway, ICYMI...
A few months back, I had a small group of coaching clients that were at the same point in their Amazon seller journeys.
I found myself answering the same questions, and pointing them to the same resources, so, in true Amazon fashion, I asked myself "What's the 1-to-Many solution here?" and built a Notion page of helpful resources, which I've called "Amazon Private Label Pathway."
You can get access to it here: https://auxo.gumroad.com/l/amazonpathway (it's free; but if you want to buy me a beer, I won't object)
